On February 11, 2008, officers took a report of a criminal impersonation/forgery. The woman reported that a bank account had been accessed by an unauthorized party on several occasions.

Financial accounts and credit reports should be reviewed on a regular basis for unusual or unauthorized activity. Colorado residents may obtain a free credit report annually by visiting the websites of the three major credit reporting agencies. The TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian credit bureau websites also provide information to help prevent identity theft and inform what actions to take if you are a victim of identity theft.

On February 15, 2008, officers responded to a burglary on Village Rd. An unknown suspect entered the home through an unlocked door sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Several items of jewelry were stolen. Residents are urged to set the alarm and lock all doors and windows, even when leaving home for a short period of time.

On February 15, 2008, officers responded to a burglary report in the 4200 block of S. Bellaire. The homeowner discovered the screen missing from a window which had sustained minor damage. The homeowner further stated he found the outside gate ajar. The home was not entered and nothing was stolen.
