On April 7, 2008 at approximately 9:20 a.m., officers responded to a theft of plastic tubing in the 4100 block of S. University Blvd.
On April 8, 2008 at approximately 9:30 a.m., officers responded to a burglary call in the 100 block of Glenmoor Dr. There estimated property damage and theft loss total is $575.
On April 9, 2008 at approximately 12:45 p.m., officers responded to a theft call in the 1400 block of E. Hampden Ave. The owner reports money is missing from the business.
On April 13, 2008 at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a criminal mischief call in the 100 block of Glenmoor Dr. The house had been egged and also had paint and toilet paper.
On April 13, 2008 at approximately 1:39 a.m., a driver hit a patrol vehicle stopped in the 3900 block of E. Belleview Ave. The officer was assisting a stranded motorist at the time of the accident. There were no injuries reported.
Drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution when approaching an emergency vehicle with its lights activated. Slow down! If safely possible, move to another lane to give emergency personnel a safe zone in which to work. In 2006, 15 officers nationwide were struck and killed in traffic-related incidents.
